New Music!!

This is the second release from my upcoming album “Restless” on Billy Blue Records. This is a song that I have loved for years. I knew when it came time to record this song I wanted to do something special so I reached out to my friends Jesse Smathers of the Lonesome River Band, and John Meador of Authentic Unlimited. They were kind enough to lend their voices to this song to make it something special. Then I asked my friend and neighbor Evan Lanier of the Dry Branch Fire Squad to play some banjo, and of course Jason Barie put on some of the greatest fiddle work I’ve ever heard and the track was complete.

This song is special to me not because of the incredible performances turned in by my friends, but because it is my first solo expression of faith in my music. It is always my hope that anytime I stand on a stage I can say or do something to point someone to Jesus, or at the very least, to be an encouragement.

Biography

From a young age Adam showed an interest in music of all kinds, but at 14 years old he fell in love with Bluegrass music! At 16 he and two friends from school got a job playing music at a local amusement park. Two years later Adam was hired to go on the road playing guitar and singing tenor for Dry Branch Fire Squad where he stayed for a three-year stint.

Adam left Dry Branch in 2003 to start a family with his wife. In late 2005 Adam received a call from banjo man Joe Mullins who was setting in to motion starting a band called Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers. After six and a half years as the Radio Rambler’s guitarist and lead vocalist, Adam left the road again in 2013 to go to work for Dennis Vance at The Mandolin Store, but soon returned to playing music with a short stint with American Drive, and a year later once more joined with the Dry Branch Fire Squad on guitar.

In 2019 Adam rejoined Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers. Later that year Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers won the International Bluegrass Music Associations top honor as they were named Entertainer of the Year.
During the pandemic “shut down” Adam used his spare time to double his studies and in December of 2021 graduated Lee University with a Bachelors degree in Pastoral Leadership with an emphasis in Counseling.

In 2024 Adam is releasing his very first solo project called “Restless” on Billy Blue Records. This is a record that Adam says is 25 years in the making with some fantastic original material as well as a few fresh takes on songs well loved from the bluegrass community. Adam is already deep into the planning stages on followup material.

Adam and his wife, Jessica, have three daughters. One is in college, one in high school, and one in pre-school. They are also foster parents and have had 5 placements with one ending in adoption. They have a passion for families as evidenced by their efforts in the foster system as well as offering a wide array of marriage and life coaching. At the end of 2023 Adam partnered with Paige Capo to offer a custom blue Original Paige capo with all of the proceeds going to Hope’s Closet which is a non-profit that gives foster parents and foster kids everything they need in an effort to reduce the financial burden mental stress of growing a family in such a sudden fashion. Those capos are available in the above section.
